About Montana Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (MRID)

Our Mission:
In order to empower the interpreters of Montana, it is the mission of Montana Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf to promote a professional community and to provide educational opportunities in a supportive environment.

It is the vision of MRID to provide support through training and mentoring to the interpreters across our expansive state. We offer professional development opportunities at least twice a year (See our News and Events section for more information). You’ll also discover information regarding regional and national trainings as well as online resources. The majority of our membership works in the educational setting and we seek to partner with the schools and other entities related to the interpreting field in order to enhance professionalism and awareness.

It is our desire to promote awareness and educate schools and state-wide agencies as to the necessity and purpose of sign language interpreting services.
