Montana Registry of Interpreters
for the Deaf

Welcome to the Montana Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (MRID).  We were established as an Affiliate Chapter of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf in 1975.  It is our desire to create a supportive environment where interpreters can develop their skills and knowledge of interpreting and professional ethics.  Montana is a rural state where we are spread out across 147,046 square miles. This web site was born out of the need to develop a place that could connect us.

We offer information about professional development opportunities, a list of resources in our field and a professional community where we can discuss the issues that we face daily.  Members can take part in our interpreters web forum.  If you are not currently a member of MRID, please consider joining.  We hope this site will become one of your favorites as it will be a resource and networking tool to assist you in advancing in your profession.
